Christmas Blackjack Packages Built Around Your Event
An Intimate Blackjack Setup
A blackjack table can provide a focused activity for a smaller Christmas celebration. Guests take turns at the table, receive guidance from the croupier and enjoy a few hands between conversations without needing a full casino floor.
A Multi-Table Christmas Casino
Several blackjack tables or a combination of different games can give a larger guest list more opportunities to play. We can discuss the balance between blackjack, roulette and poker according to your audience, room layout and playing time.
A Themed Christmas Celebration
Make blackjack part of a casino theme that carries through the evening. A formal Monte Carlo style party, colourful Vegas celebration or James Bond inspired event can all give the card tables a place within the wider occasion.
The right arrangement depends on how you want guests to spend their evening. Explore our Christmas casino packages and tell us about your venue, guest numbers and preferred entertainment so we can discuss suitable options.
Corporate Christmas Parties
Blackjack gives colleagues and clients a shared activity without requiring a tournament commitment. Players compete against the dealer, allowing people to sit alongside one another and enjoy the game together.
At a staff Christmas party, the table can create a place for guests from different teams to meet. At a client celebration, it provides entertainment that supports conversation throughout the evening. For a wider company event with several casino games, our corporate Christmas casino hire page covers the available approach and planning details.
Private Christmas Parties
A blackjack table gives a private Christmas party an activity that guests can return to throughout the night. Friends and family can learn together, watch the dealer’s cards and enjoy the reaction when a hand goes their way.
The table can be the main attraction at a smaller celebration or one element of a larger party. Our croupiers help guests follow the game, making it welcoming for people who have never played before. Explore ideas for a Christmas casino party and plan an evening around your guests.
Choose Your Christmas Blackjack Party Theme
Keep the setting festive and let the blackjack tables introduce the casino atmosphere, or make the theme part of the whole celebration. A black-tie dress code suits an elegant casino evening, while a Vegas inspired party can bring more colour to the room.
The entertainment should complement your venue and the celebration you have in mind. Share your ideas when enquiring, including whether blackjack will stand alone or sit alongside other attractions. Our main Christmas casino hire in London page brings together the wider games and festive event options.
Advice on Casino Nights
Casino Nights under the Gambling Act 2005
Casinos gaming includes games like roulette and blackjack where players compete against the “house” or a banker, rather than against one another on equal terms.
Commercial casino gaming
Commercial casino gaming is licensed and regulated by the Gambling Commission. If you wish to provide casinos gaming on a commercial basis you should consult the Commission: www.gamblingcommission.gov.uk.
Casino gaming in clubs
Clubs and miners’ welfare institutes that hold a club gaming permit issued by their local licensing authority may provide facilities for two specific types of “banker’s” game: chemin de fer and pontoon (blackjack is not permitted). A maximum participation fee of £3 per person, per day may be charged for this gaming, but no amounts may be deducted from either stakes or prizes. See the separate fact sheet on “Gaming in clubs” for further details.
Non-commercial casino gaming
Organisations that wish to provide casinos games for charitable or other noncommercial purposes (e.g. to raise funds for a club or society) may do so under the prize gaming provisions in Part 14 of the Act. Non-commercial gaming of this kind may only take place at events where none of the proceeds from the event itself are used for private gain. For these purposes, the proceeds of an event constitute the sums raised by its organisers (including sums raised by way of participation fees, sponsorship, commission from traders, or otherwise) minus the costs reasonably incurred in organising the event. However, sums raised by other persons will not form part of the proceeds of the event and so may be appropriated for private gain. An example would be refreshments provided at the event by an independent third party. Non-commercial gaming may be an ancillary activity or the only or principal purpose of the event. To qualify as prize gaming, the prizes (whether in cash or in kind) should be put up in advance, and must not be dependent on the number of players taking part or the amount of money staked. The players participating in non-commercial gaming must also be told what “good cause” is to benefit from the profits from the gaming. There are no statutory limits on stakes, prizes, participation fees or other charges for this type of noncommercial gaming. No licence, permit or other form of permission is required to operate this kind of gaming provided that the statutory conditions are complied with.
Private casino gaming
Private casino gaming may take place in two sets of circumstances. Domestic gaming: in a private dwelling, on a domestic occasion. Residential gaming: in a hostel, hall of residence or similar establishment (but not on premises operated as a trade, corporate or business) provided that the majority of those taking part are residents. No charge may be made for participation in private gaming (and that includes an entrance fee or other charge for admission), nor may any amounts be deducted from stakes or prizes. Private gaming may not be provided in any place to which the public have access, and no profits may be made from it, regardless of the purpose to which they may be put. NB. This fact sheet is intended to provide a general explanation of the circumstances in which “casinos nights” can be operated under the Gambling Act 2005. It does not deal with every detail of the legislative provisions, or with the individual circumstances of a particular case. This fact sheet does not constitute legal advice and is not a substitute for the relevant legal provisions. If you are in any doubt about the legality of any gambling activities that you intend to promote or for which you intend to provide facilities, you are strongly advised to seek independent legal advice. Christmas Blackjack Hire FAQs
Is blackjack suitable for guests who have never played?
Yes. Blackjack has a clear basic aim, and our croupiers explain how the game works before helping guests follow each hand. Players try to beat the dealer without going over 21, with guidance available when someone is unsure what to do next. Newcomers can watch other guests play before taking a seat, which can make joining in feel more comfortable. There is no requirement to arrive knowing casino terminology or advanced strategy. The table can accommodate a mixture of experience levels, making it suitable for Christmas parties where some guests are familiar with blackjack and others are trying it for the first time.
Do players compete against each other at blackjack?
Blackjack players compete against the dealer rather than directly against the other people at the table. Each guest makes decisions about their own hand, but friends and colleagues can enjoy following the same dealer’s cards together. This creates a different atmosphere from poker, where players compete against one another for a pot. It also makes blackjack useful for a Christmas party because guests can participate without entering an elimination tournament. People can play several hands, leave between rounds and return later, allowing the entertainment to fit around the conversations and other activities taking place throughout the rest of the evening.
Do guests need money to play at the Christmas party?
The Christmas blackjack experience uses event chips or fun money, so guests do not need to stake their own cash to enjoy the game. The croupier explains the playing format and how the chips are used, helping everyone understand the entertainment before taking part. This keeps attention on learning the cards, enjoying each hand and spending time together. Guests can still experience the changing fortunes of blackjack without treating the table as a commercial casino. Any additional competition arrangements should be discussed during planning so the proposed format is clear before the event and reflected in the agreed booking details.
Can we book just one blackjack table?
A single blackjack table can work well for a smaller Christmas gathering or as one attraction within a party that already has other entertainment. Whether it will provide enough playing opportunities depends on the guest numbers, likely interest in the game and how long the table will operate. If many guests want to play at once, additional tables or another casino game may be more suitable. The room also needs space for player seating, the dealer and movement around the table. We can discuss these factors together so the equipment arrangement reflects the way you expect your guests to use it.
Can you provide Christmas blackjack hire throughout London?
We provide event entertainment across London and can discuss blackjack hire for corporate and private Christmas celebrations throughout the city. Parties in areas such as Westminster, Soho, the City, Chelsea and Canary Wharf can have different access requirements, so the full venue details are important. Please share the event address, floor level and any information about loading areas, lifts or restricted delivery times. The room layout also needs to allow comfortable seating and movement around the gaming table. Reviewing these details before the event helps establish a suitable setup and coordinate the equipment arrangements with the venue’s wider Christmas party preparations.
What information do you need for a Christmas blackjack quote?
Please provide your preferred date, venue address, estimated guest numbers and the times you would like the blackjack entertainment to run. It also helps to know whether blackjack will be the only casino game, one of several tables or part of a larger entertainment programme. Share any available information about access, setup deadlines and the evening’s running order. These details affect the equipment, staffing and delivery arrangements needed for the booking. If your plans are still developing, send what you know and identify the outstanding details. The quotation can then set out the proposed service clearly for your specific Christmas celebration.
